German Bride and Groom Music Box

When you turn the crank, a taut wire and quills inside the jingle box create a jingling sound.

The jingle box is the predecessor of the music box.
It was made in Seiffen as early as 1800.

Later, mechanical mechanisms replaced the jingling.
That was the birth of music boxes in the Ore Mountains.
To this day, these are produced in a large variety with wind-up movements.
